SATURDAY DIXIELAND NATIONAL
Rain and mud… It rained on Friday night and the NBL team covered the track for the race on Saturday. The morning started damp with clouds threatening to unleash a torrent of rain. The weatherman promised dry conditions until 4PM.
Riders Stage for the Main
Unfortunately the weatherman was sleeping at his monitor because it started spitting rain throughout the morning. The Strider riders were able to get their racing in before the skys let go. They all looked good. Jett Gibbs won the 3 year old class and Evan Kuckek taking the win in the 4/5 year old class. Mollie Evans won the biggest smile award for her ear to ear splitting grin and the sheer joy she had coasting down the hills.

SUNDAY DIXIELAND NATIONAL
The second day of the Dixieland Nationals was one of those blue skies and lollipop days where the temperature was just right and everywhere you turned people had a smile on their face. The racing kicked off early because the NBL wanted to get the racing in before the rain made its appearance as it did on Saturday.
The steely-eyed Strider World Cup riders were excited and ready to go. The two-moto transfer system was in effect with all riders transferring into the main. The crowd really got into it with the closest racing of all races being in Moto 182 with Evan Kucrek beating Brandon Foxx by a half a wheel at the stripe.
